GeoKarlsruhe 2021 (https://www.geokarlsruhe2021.de) will take place as an online conference from 19 – 24 September 2021. It provides an opportunity to present and to discuss Raw Materials and Mining (Session 13). Sub-session 13.1  will address European Raw Materials in particular and this issue will be highlighted in the keynote speech by Daniel P.S. de Oliveira (LNEG). You contribution is very much welcomed and abstracts (max 250 words) can be submitted until May 26, 2021. Any related contributions are welcome, and in particular when indicating the socio-economic importance to the European society in particular.

On-site Excursions will take place prior and after the conference. Field Trip 2 (September 24 to 26) is dedicated to the Schwarzwald (Black Forest) as a centre for mining for centuries, which was mainly carried out on hydrothermal vein deposits. Many of these veins are still accessible in old mines (today visitor mines) and outcropping in the field.
